Thoughts out loud...Do you want to have synthetic skin?

Of course I do not trust everything I see, but somewhere inside I have a deep belief that all the beautiful things I see on the pictures can really exist...somewhere. But...the only thing I don't understand is cosmetic companies campaigns. Sometimes when I see ads in the magazines or big boards, I'm just wondering, do they really think we want to have synthetic or artificial skin or unbelievably long and unnatural eyelashes???? When I buy cosmetics, and it doesn't matter if it is lip gloss, lotion or mascara, I want to see real people with real features. I do understand that we leave in the era of computer technologies and photoshop, but we are still the same people with the same needs. What do you say???
